Incorporating Old with New

Adding unique elements to your next remodel.

When starting a client’s project, there may be a special element that they really want included in their newly remodeled space.  It may be a certain color on the walls, a specific type of countertop material, or something more unique.  On one of our latest projects, the client made such a request.  Samantha shared that a Dennis Port client requested, “One thing that they wanted to do was to incorporate some antique 1700 glass panes”.  The old glass panes had been passed down to each generation of their family and they wanted to find a special way to have it incorporated in their newly remodeled space.

Encore enlisted the help of Josh, from Saturn Custom Woodworking. They knew Josh would be up to the challenge in figuring out a way to showcase the beautiful glass panes.

The final products were two custom built-ins with glass pane doors in the family room.  On either side of the fireplace, these two custom built ins will be admired for generations to come.

Bringing in the old glass panes into the new remodel adds to this family’s story, and we are lucky to be a part of that story.

What special element would you want to incorporate into your next remodel?  Let the Encore team know and we will be happy to help!
