OUR STORY
Encore Construction’s founder, Dale Nikula, worked for his father for many years before starting the Dale R. Nikula Co. Inc in 1995. Dale had established a reputation as an outstanding carpenter, but clients quickly discovered that he was just as talented at leading people and projects.
The company grew steadily as word spread about the high level of quality and customer service that it offered. In 2003, Dale renamed the company Encore Construction to reflect the fact that many of his clients had them do multiple projects over the years.
In 2021, Dale sold his ownership of Encore to his General Manager, Kathy DeMeyer. Kathy had been with the company for 19 years, bringing her skills and expertise to her positions as office manager, production manager, designer and finally general manager before assuming ownership.
Encore continues to provide comprehensive Design/Remodel and custom home services to its clients on Cape Cod, and has received numerous awards for both its client service and project design and quality. Encore’s work has been featured in Home Remodeling, Cape Cod Life, Boston Design Guide, as well as several remodeling industry magazines.

KATHY DEMEYER

Kathy has over 20 years experience in the construction industry. She joined Encore in 2003 as the Production Manager and later became General Manager. In 2019, Kathy became co-owner of Encore. Attention to detail and customer satisfaction are priorities for her. Kathy holds a Construction Supervisor License, OSHA Certification and Lead Safe Certification. She is Past President of the Eastern MA National Association of Remodelers and Dennis Chamber of Commerce. She is also a current Board member for the Home Builders and Remodelers Association of Cape Cod.

TOM HART
Tom joined the Encore team in 2011 as a project manager. Prior to that, Tom was working with Encore for many years as one of our favorite subcontractors, particularly for high-end custom kitchens. Tom has more than 20 years of experience in residential and commercial construction with a special emphasis on finish carpentry and cabinet installation. He holds a Construction Supervisor License and Lead Safe Certification. When not building something, you can find Tom out on one of the local golf courses.

Luke Furey
Luke Furey, has over 20 years of combined experience in the construction and real estate industries. He is a licensed construction supervisor, a registered home improvement contractor, and a real estate broker. He is a dedicated worker, whose main goal is to ensure that our clients receive the highest-quality services that meet and exceed their expectations. Luke relocated to Cape Cod from the Berkshires in 1998. He lives in South Dennis with his wife Amy and three handsome sons. In his spare time, Luke likes to play guitar and he also enjoys camping and boating with the famil

Samantha has worn many hats in this company but her favorite by far is Designer. Backed by years of construction experience and courses from the National Kitchen & Bath Association she is able to design to our clients’ needs with fresh, fun and unique ideas. Samantha graduated from Saint Michael’s College with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a minor in Management.
